A Quick One: Kingdom Come

Kingdom Come is a graphic novel from Mark Waid and Alex Ross.

If there was an antidote to Batman v. Superman this is it.

It has it all: dramatic compositions, huge stakes, heroes and villains betraying and teaming up with each other, themes of superman and man, God and morality. But, despite all the chaos of grandeur, it is, at its core, a small story of redemption and beauty in a broken world. There is darkness, but it leads to something much greater and more hopeful.

It is a work about the goodness of God in man, rather than about the evil of humanity in God. It is unafraid to have heroes.
